Commitment to climate and environmental responsibility

As a pioneer in intermodal transport, Hupac actively contributes to reducing environmental impacts by shifting freights from road to rail. This modal shift is one of the most effective ways to lower greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption in the logistics sector.

In addition, we work to reduce noise emissions, optimise the use of resources such as water and chemicals and promote biodiversity. Minimising waste and ensuring the safe transport of goods are also central to our environmental responsibility.

Strengthening of intermodal service between Cologne and Malmö

From 6 October 2025, Hupac will increase the frequency of its intermodal service between Cologne and Malmö from 4 to 5 weekly roundtrips.

This expansion will increase capacity and ensure greater operational flexibility and stability, as well as more reliable transit times along the Germany–Scandinavia corridor.

The Köln Nord Terminal will play a strategic role as a hub for Italy, with 11 weekly roundtrips connecting to Busto Arsizio.

This synergy strengthens the Italy–Scandinavia corridor, offering efficient and stable gateway solutions.
