New container depot at Singen Terminal

Container depots are an essential part of the logistics chain, they enable the sustainable and efficient delivery and distribution of containers.

The Terminal Singen is investing in the expansion of its full-service offer with new support functions for maritime traffic. The depot with an area of 11,000 m2 is located directly on the terminal site. Its capacity of 1700 TEUs provides sufficient space for the storage of empty and loaded units.

In addition to the pure depot function, Terminal Singen TSG GmbH as operator of the facility offers numerous other services. These include container inspection, daily stock reports, SOLAS weighing and minor repairing works on containers. Combined with daily connections to Duisburg, Busto Arsizio, Brescia and Hamburg, Singen is thus an important and functional hub for intermodal transport.

Founded in 1996, Terminal Singen TSG GmbH operates the Terminal Singen as a joint venture between Hupac and DB Intermodal Services. Around 60 trains a week run through this hub.
