Chiasso, 27 January 2026 – After eight successful years at the helm of the Hupac Group, Michail Stahlhut has decided to step down from his role as CEO at his own request. He will leave the company in May 2026. The Board of Directors thanks Michail Stahlhut for his outstanding commitment and prudent leadership during a period of significant challenges and wishes him all the very best and continued success in the future.
The past years have been marked by a multitude of challenges for the entire logistics sector – and particularly for combined transport: ranging from pandemic and power supply shortages to complete rail network closures caused by accidents and major construction projects, as well as geopolitical disruptions. Under the leadership of Michail Stahlhut, Hupac has maintained stability, operational strength and financial solidity in this demanding environment. «Through targeted strategic initiatives, the company was able, under the leadership of Michail Stahlhut, to strengthen its position as a leading provider in European combined land transport and, together with the experienced management team, to set the course for the future», says Hans-Jörg Bertschi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hupac.
«It fills me with great respect and gratitude that, during this challenging period, we were able to further develop Hupac together with a strong leadership team. It was particularly important to me to position our leadership team in such way that it can successfully overcome crisis with a high degree of personal responsibility», adds Michail Stahlhut.
The search for a suitable successor is progressing. The Board of Directors will announce the succession at the appropriate time.
