Hupac acquires a stake in the WienCont container terminal

Vienna, 19.8.2021    Hupac, as the leading network operator in intermodal transport in Europe, and WienCont, as the trimodal terminal with the highest throughput in Austria, have been working together for years and have developed an international hub for continental transport in Vienna over the past three years, which will now be further consolidated by Hupac's participation.

With a 4.16% stake in the WienCont container terminal, a subsidiary of the Port of Vienna, Hupac underlines the importance of Vienna as a focal point for the European intermodal network with the aim of continuously expanding transports and strengthening the land bridge to south-east Europe and Turkey.

The owners of WienCont Container-Terminal GmbH are now Hafen Wien GmbH with 91.68%, CN Logistics and Service Group GmbH with 4.16% and Hupac Ltd with 4.16%.
