Hupac stands for continuity
Hupac stands for continuity

The economic crisis has serious consequences for freight transport: capacity lies idle, investments are being halted and companies get into trouble. Also combined transport is affected by the recession.

In this difficult situation, Hupac is relying on continuity. We have been on the market for more than 40 years with our own resources and comprehensive know-how. We aim to maintain our position as one of the leading combi operators in Europe – for the benefit of our customers and European combined transport as a whole.

We are maintaining our network.
Hupac is also adjusting its capacity to reflect the fall in demand. All the same, we are maintaining the network in all major markets and offering our customers the usual service.

We are developing new markets.
Portugal, Spain, Russia, Romania, transit via the Brenner pass: despite the crisis we are expanding our transport network with new links. We want to be ready when the economy bounces back.

We are operating neutrally and bearing the risk.
Neutrality towards our customers is our first priority. This means that we combine freight from various transport companies, commission the trains at our own risk and work to ensure that traffic runs smoothly for the benefit of all customers.

We are redesigning business processes.
A re-engineering of processes has begun in key areas of the company. Hupac wants to use the crisis to become even faster, more flexible and customer-focused.

We have a solid foundation.
Hupac has systematically provided for times of crisis: by operating sustainably, investing continuously and building a solid foundation to ensure our security even in tough times.

We are building the infrastructure of tomorrow.
Hupac continues to believe in the future of combined transport and is maintaining its investments in terminal infrastructure. The HTA Hupac Terminal Antwerp and the Combinant terminal are being built in Antwerp; meanwhile, expansion continues at the Busto Arsizio-Gallarate terminal.

We are talking to the railways.
As a strong partner, we are working closely with the railways and campaigning at all levels for the maintenance of the combi network. The flexible production planning developed with the railways optimizes ressource employment and makes an important contribution to help combined transport through this difficult period.

We are approaching our customers.
We campaign for our customers every day – in safe as well as uncertain times. We are working together to develop solutions that will bring success to all those involved.

You can count on it.
