Terminal Busto Arsizio-Gallarate

The Busto Arsizio-Gallarate Terminal has implemented a series of measures aimed at reducing physical contact between people involved in terminal operations, eliminating the need for contact altogether or, where this is not possible, maintaining the minimum recommended distance of 2 m between people.

Terminal operations “Contactless”

Terminal operations are carried out as follows:

  • Automatic check-in at the entrance gate via OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
  • Frequent disinfections of the entry ticket button, pens and digital tablets
  • Availability of gloves, masks and disinfectant gels available (while stocks last)
  • Simplification of transport documentation handover through digital processes
  • Regulated access to the counters preferably with a protective mask and keeping a safe distance between people. A maximum of 3 drivers at the same time can access the entrance of the operational office for document acceptance procedures, according to the chronological order detected by the entrance tickets
  • Drivers remain on their trucks in the check-in area in front of the operations office, waiting to be called according to the chronological order of entry to the terminal
  • The entrance and exit doors of the reception office are efficiently separated
  • Glass protection of the counters where document acceptance operations are carried out
  • Loading and unloading operations of intermodal units without interaction between persons
  • Exit from the terminal without the driver getting out of his cab or getting in contact with the terminal operators.

Punctual collection of units

In order to maintain a safe working environment for everyone and at the same time to guarantee the operational continuity and efficiency of our services, it is necessary that goods make their way without congesting the terminal. Therefore, units may not be leaved in the terminal, but need to be collected immediately.

This also applies to freight arriving at our terminal and destined for locations in the so-called "red zone": unfortunately we are unable to store these units, which will have to be collected and handled at alternative sites.

Instructions for drivers

The Busto Arsizio-Gallarate terminal has adopted a series of anti-contagion measures in compliance with current regulations. Drivers are required to strictly observe the following instructions:

  • The entrance of maximum 2 people is allowed at the same time at the counters and one person at a time is allowed to enter the services and the refreshment room
  • We remind you that it is forbidden to take photographs or video footage on the entire terminal area.
